I sat down and thought one day
Who or what am I?
My heart sank in dismay
that one day I must die.
What's the meaning of this life
I searched it all around;
and saw the mankind in a strife
till they return to ground
Where is it that I am bound?
I pondered all the day.
gave out a sigh profound -
Who knows it anyway!
I searched in dark without a ray
Till the frontier
To find out another day
The answer was so near
Knock, knock, I heard a sound
At my heart’s door
Answer to the quest I found
I’ll live forever more
